"I'm not much on the flavored drink but I do make apple pie for friends and family
My recipe
1 gal apple cider
1 gal apple juice can be concentrate but fresh pressed is much better
8 cin sticks
1 1/2 tsp apple pie spice from the spice section at Walmart
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla
Bring to boil all above ingred. turn down to a simmer stirring the whole time
turn it off let it cool to around 80 deg. add as much 185- 190 proof to your taste. I like to taste my likker so I make it strong for me, but not everyone likes it that way. A good batch for most folks will be 100 proof. I add 1 cin stick to the jar and 3 slices of fresh apple let it sit in a cool dark place for a week or two doesn't need refrigeration to be tasty but some like it cold. I like it warmed up to around 100-110 deg tastes like warm apple pie.
To warm it up heat water in a pot on the stove to loosen lid to jar and set it in the pot of water till its warmed up don't bring it to boil or your vaporize your good stuff just get warm enough till you like it. I have made a batch and distilled the whole batch of apple pie in a pot still to make apple pie likker then made apple pie from that and I get rave reviews when done that way.
