"Hello all, I am working on my first batch at the moment. I will let you know how it turns out. But, I have another off-topic question for you. How do you turn old beer into a distilled spirit?A couple years back, I went to the Great Lakes Distillery and bought a seasonal pumpkin spirit that they made from a neighboring brewery's (Lakefront Brewery - the best tour I've ever taken! They also make a really good gluten-free beer! Yum!) seasonal pumpkin beer: http://www.greatlakesdistillery.com/pumpkin.htmI was talking to a friend the other day and he has a bunch of beer that he brewed that has spoiled. Here are my questions: 1) How is this possible? Do you have a recipe I could follow? What do I need to turn his beer into a distilled spirit? 2) Is this even worth the effort? 3) Has anyone on the forum tried this? If so, how was your experience? Thanks again! -Cletus"

Dump it in the pot & strip it, then mix it in the next time you reflux. Beer is nothing more than a low alcohol wash.
