I was just thinking about your question about the sight glass. There could be more than one thing called a sight glass. What is it you are talking about exactly?

A viewing port.
A sight glass or glasses would be very helpful if you were running a plated column or any type of apparatus that could be run optimally by monitoring liquid levels and adjusting heat or cooling based on those visual liquid level observations.
But a sight glass mounted on any ole still bit for cool factor only is really superfluous.

When I first reacted to the 'sight glass' question your definition is what I thought of . I couldn't see any reason for having one for this type of use.

"D4g There are some videos out that are about,,,,,and may help to clarify why a site glass can be very helpful.
In fact if I had a couple on my rig I could prolly run it a bit better!"
