That radiator and fan should do a good job on your water, I get by with a smaller unit than that. Post up a picture when you get it set up and plumbed.

dont you have the mack heater core???
I'm re thinking the three tier setup because the shelf may require bieng supported by the table and i want the table movable Yeah I used the Mack heater core. Works fine for my system. If I was going to use the radiator and was thinking bout necking it down I would probably take a piece of radiator hose to the hardware store and try to find plastic/metal reducers. If you don't like that idea you could take a piece of flat copper drill a hole in it and then solder a piece of !/2 inch pipe to it and then solder the hole thing to the radiator fittings. On the little Mack heater core the fittings on the core were bigger than the inside of the plastic tubing I had so I soldered a piece of 1/2 inch copper pipe to them."

Once I got the 1/2" copper pipe soldered to the heat exchanger I had to use a piece of the bendable 3/8th inch copper tubing , it fits inside the 1/2" pipe and then is soldered in place. The OD of the 3/8th tubing is just right for the BH plastic hose to fit on.

"Right now i am pre occupied with this project. I finally gathered all the fittings and copper tubing-- ill start soon.  then i just bought some silver solder so i can make a 10 gallon mash tun like this 15 gallon one. the screens are too long for the 10 gallon pot so i have to trim and re solder them.  im procrastinating on the pid project"

"HEY DIV--- what water pump do you use-- i have one similar to this.  i purchased it from mile high a while back-- it was about 80 us dollars. im wondering if it will be circulating too fast. everyone seems to be selling junk pumps or 150 us dollar ones these days. i remember BAYOU RULERS comments on the cheap pumps. I have a 120 volt router control if i need it i guess."

my tubing bender is left over from my domestic refrigeration repair days and only bends 1/4 5/16 and 3/8 tubing so i put the HC tower mod on hold till i get the 1/2 inch bender. ?((12.7mm))

I have a 120 volt router control if i need it i guess. I use the pump that BH is selling , it's submersible. I can't think of a reason where circulating more water would be a problem. If you are refluxing you would have a valve on that line to adjust it with anyway. As far as running it through your radiator it would seem like the faster the better. If you do need it slower then a valve on that line would control it . When I first got my unit from BH the pump that came with it didn't pump enough to run both the condenser and the reflux plumbing. They have since upgraded their pump and it now pumps plenty."
