"I know this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the answer...too much reading all the posts...and some seem to run together sorry.

Using Smiley's recipe for corn mash, it does not show that you add sugar. Do I need to add sugar and if so, how much for the 5 gal fermenter size batch?

Or does someone have a good corn mash recipe for the 5 gal fermenter they would like to share.

I just received my PSII HC and am iching to get started.

So far I have not started this thing but I love it! :)"

As near as I can figure, 7L Flaked maise= 7 pounds and 11/2 crushed 2-row pale barley malt= 1.5 pounds of crushed pale "ale" barley malt.

"If you want a simple sour mash recipe, try UJSM. It is probably on this forum but here is another link

http://www.artisan-distiller.ne...topic.php?f=5&t=5268

A little toasted oak and glycerine to the output and you can't beat it.

This is the first I tried and I have not tried anything else."
