Alchohol Evaporates at 173, so of i do my run at around 175 will my liquor be smoother or less pure as of I ran it at around 180?

You will find that 173 is a very iffy number..by that I mean you can't say, thats the only temp I will use. #1 the still unit will dictate what temp works best. You might not even get a drip at 173. You'll have to figger out the still and see what temp is the best. And then once you start cooking the temp will continue to rise because the water to ehtanol ratio will change. the hearts will be the smoothest -if- you make good cuts."

mine starts to yield at 160 or so. at least thats what the thermometer shows. Soon as yer output starts, cut the power bachk so there is just a slow drip ((most folks say 5 drops per second). I run mine as slow as i can. The temperature is not controlled by you actually.

Alrightt, me and a buddy are makin a still. We are thinking about usin a turkey cooke, soft copper line for the worm.. But thanks for the help guys!
