Likely just fine.....rinse em off before ya smash and pitch next time. Yeast nutes are typically cheaper than multivites BTW.

"I found a little bottle of yeast nutrients to be about $12 dollars + shipping so when your in the grocery store next time compare the prices. Cant rember the exact price of multivitamines but I bet its close so why not use the right thing.
If you've already got the mv's ya mightaswell use em cause they do work."

"ya know I seem to remember picking up 2 bottles so maybe thats why I was thinking $12. If I could find them for half the money thats what I would use too. "

back to that color in your wash....I remember a recipe that calls for adding some Miricle Grow fertilizer powder, you know the green stuff. I'm SURE that would turn your wash green but in the end it wont show up in the distillate collection cup unless you push it really hard and then I bet it still would be minimul. Aslo some add a can of tomato paste and that turns your wash red. Dont worry too much about the vitamin color this time but rinse them next time if you so desire.

Hi heeler read one of ur posts on beer stripping. I ve been stripping like it was my spirit run, takes about 8hours for a 20L wash at 8.5abv. Was wondering has fast can I run it? As soon as my still head reaches 175 I maintain that amount of heat. Any tips ?

"Can run it as fast as your condenser can handle... Strippin is just for shedding the bulk amount of water...
Your still will behave smashingly with a 40% boiler charge......10,15,18% boiler charge,,,,,not so much."

ts, just a correction on your terminology...if you are running at 173 then that is a spirit run for most units. Just as LWTCS says if you want to strip then go as fast as your condenser can turn it back into a liquid. I like doing my runs slow and easy but others run it hard and fast, neither is wrong just different.

I believe that the multi-vitamins may supply some of the elements that yeast like and need but they won't supply the Diammonium phosphate(fertilizer) that the yeast nutrients have."

Got it guys! try a little faster next time since I'm just collecting for my spirit run. Did run it slow for the final time and couldn't help myself to grab a high shot from that middle run, splash of water and down it went! How sweet that corn and rye was! Cant wait for the final run
