"I have a glass carboy that is 6 imperial gallons. I have it market to just accept 7.5 US gallons. I'm doing a sugar wash now and have it filled to the top and under lock. It was on the floor because i had just transfered the wash from the plastic fermenter on the counter top to the carboy on the floor/ I have this gadjet to lift full carboys from the floor back to the countertop This is a photo of us moving some wine. Well while sliding the 7.5 gallon carboy from the lift to the countertop, the lift rolled away from the counter a bit and the full carboy dropped over 3.5 feet to the floor. It didnt break. Well the floor is soft tile over 3/4 inch plywood and 2x4s. Cement would have gotten anything. I think that if this carboy was made in mexico like most of my my other ones ,it would have shattered. MAYBE??????"
