":) I am ready to purchase the Essential Extractor II High Capacity Complete Distiller with 8 gal. premium kettle or 15 gal. premium kettle. Rick is going to install a 1"" NPT for a 120v-1500 watt stainless water heater element to be controlled by a 20 amp ""router speed control"" (thanks again to scotty an heeler for the direction on this). Could someone give me the benefit of their experience to make sure the first order is a good long term solution and help with these questions:
1. When you start with the 8 gallon kettle, will you soon want the 15 gal.? Seems like this is always the case in life in general-so probably here also?
2. Are there any other custom modifications to the column or kettle (besides the NPT fitting for the heater) that maybe should be done before ordering-maybe you wish you would have done before ordering or have done yourself after ordering? Example-ferrule to replace rubber bung, fitting for thermometer somewhere, valve somewhere, etc.
Thanks for any advice-

I also have delicate circuit breakers too. I had originally planned to heat on the propane turkey burner. May wind up back at plan A..lol. . . Insulating it may help getting up to temperature quicker."
