I'm looking into switching from bakers yeast to something with more ABV. But I'm not really into the turbo yeasts. Has anyone used or have any input on the Crosby & Baker distillers yeast and yeast nutrient?

Well I can give some input that I bought some the other day. Havent had a chance to use it yet. Da Brewmeister say it did not need any nutes. Then he said just follow whatever recipe was using. If it calls for nutes use nutes. It was real cheap. Less than eight bucks for a one pound bag...which he say will last forever because you only use 1 T. per five or six gallon batch. He also claim it do not take long to work. You will prob use some before I do because I am going nuts trying to build and buy a still all at once and have 12 gallons of ho made cornmeal wash using bakers yeast I want to run first if it dont turn to vinegar before I can get a still up and running. Keep us posted on how it works. I may want to take it back for a refund or something:)
