I recently purchased 1 pound packages of distillers yeast and yeast nutrient. What is the best way to store these once opening?

My yeast always goes in the ice box. First bag of the distillers yeast I have owned. Aint opened it yet. Noticed it was in the refrigerated section where it stays at the homebrew shoppe. Previously used small packets or jars. Thinking of cutting off a corner to use some then refastening with a chip clip. Maybe inside of a baggy to be safe. The only nutrient I have seen is some totally inert stuff which comes with a screw on cap. Would just keep it dry.
