The day is hereBigGrin been working on this day for months, going to make first stripping run in pot mode. Question is do I put the water to the condenser and the column or just the condenser on a stripping run. Thanks to all for posting all your wisdom Wink and keeping alittle bit of history alive and kicking.

One other ? after the stripping run is done is there a time frame that the reflux run has to be made with what I collect from the stripping run.

No but you need enough low wines to charge the boiler for the spirit run. I ususally wait til i have 3 or 4 gallons, dilute down and do my spirit run"

well that all depends on the %ABV of the wash. I use a tried and true sugar wash recipe that yields a 10% ABV wash every time.

Yes that is correct. I save up a few stripping runs, then do my spirit run."

Well things started great. 10% ABV wash and started cooking. Funny how a little clear liqued can bring a big smileBigGrin. Then you start thinking of all these things that you should of had answers for before you startedConfused Then stuff starts really flowing and I forgot all about the temp of the cooling waterOhMyGodCursing After a mad dash for the hose and 2 buckets I got things flowing for a few more drops.

Try and avoid the mad dashes.
