Explain what you mean when you say it got "HOT" Did you add HOT water to it?

Cloudy spirits usually = tails.

Blue particles usually = Copper Salts

Side Note: DON'T DRINK IT!

"first -- why would you oxygenate your spirit?????

from the narrative you said -- jumped in temp and chunks of crap--- ????

not sure what that even means so you might need a pro!!

ammonia -- no
acid -- no
If you give more details on what you did I bet these folks can figger what you did wrong."

If you made your cuts right, and you wound up with good liquor, then the water and the bottle are the suspects, I would guess.
If by oxygenate you mean you let it sit open to aerate it, then the environment that you did that in could also be a suspect.
Other than that, I'm not sure what to say, except, yea, don't drink it."

do you mean you aired out your spirits then you diluted them with water and you noticed the reaction of the combination [heat] and it turned cloudy[tails]?

there is a fancy name for that reaction cant remember what it is maybe someone else can tell you if the cloudy part cleared in a few minutes after being mixed ok if not then a strong chance that you got into tails now as far as the blue chunks cant help you there but i would lean towards what BR said always play safe

That would be my first look to find out where the 'blue' stuff came from.

i didnt beer strip. got almost a gallon off 2 stills. first batch seemed fine. coppers clean. Should distill it again? although i was reading on here that u should fill the still 2/3... i filled the still 1/3 of the way up with mash off the bat, 5 gallons. so would i need a small pot still instead of the keg to redistill the gallon? and should i fill it with 10 gallons the next run?

The only time I ever got a cloudy batch when I added water was when I ran it too far into the tails. I did get some cloudy stuff on rum, it seemed to bubble up into the column . I've since used two copper mesh plugs in the column and haven't ever had that happen again. What type of column are you using?

If your column is 2-3 inches you might try a plug or two of copper mesh. 'edit' are you letting your mash clear for a few days before running it?

Cloudy tails likker is separate and appart from the cloudy exothermic condition. The exothermic reaction is just tiny air bubbles that typically clear right up.
