Hey guys im completely new to te distilling scene, truth is I haven't even bought one yet, is anyone located in NE Missouri or SE Iowa that could show me the ropes one I get a stil. I have been looking at a 200$ 5gal still from Clawhammer supply, any ideas on that? Should I build one, or look at a different source? Thanks!

I looked at the claw hammer also. Im kinda a doit myself kinda guy and thuoght that might be neat till i started thinking about it. If you just want a pot still do it. If you ever want to have a reflux though I think it would be better go with a reflux first and refine your hobby then go to a traditional pot to make a crafted product.

i use a 15 gal keg (buy em for 50$ on craigslist) and a tower from brewhaus.com you can get setup cheaper and be more diverse in type of production with a tower
