"I just started the process for a Smiley mash ( I heated the corn and barley and let it cool) and was getting to pitch the yeast when I got a call and have to leave town for about a week. What can I do with this? Confused

Should I chuck it and start over when I return?
OR
can i just refrigerate it and just bring it back up to about 80 degrees and pitch yeast when I get back?

Any help would be appreciated."

Why not go ahead and pitch the yeast; put on the airlock and let it go. Should be done when you get back

"Well, here's the rundown:

Started mash and pitched with Prestige WD. Could not get this yeast to work, yet a second time. I then added Turbo 48. Started working very well. Left for 5 days, came back and was still bubbling the airlock, let go for another day. Strained and ran through stripping mode. Came out very well.

This is the second time I have used the Prestige WD and this is the second time I could not get it to start working. Not sure what the problem is, probably just me.

Oh well, just having fun with this and it gets better each time. Gotta love this.

Thanks!"
