Hi Taylor and Wellcome to the forum. Your cooling water goes in at the top and out at the bottom of your tower. Your water supply determines where your water comes from. I use a 150 quart ice chest with two pond pumps, one for the condenser and one for the tower. Brew hause has a splitter with a plastic ball valve used to send h2o to both tower and condenser. BTW water goes into the bottom of the condenser.

If your going to reflux you need to get some copper mesh to roll up into 2 or 3 rolls for filling the tower. It's a good idea to make some small balls to put around the cooling tubes at the top of the tower also. These will scrub the nasty flavors out of the product to a large degree. Don't use the copper for a pot run unless you want to take out flavor. Brewhause has the copper mesh in 30 foot rolls. For a 2" tower you only need about 2 1/2 to 3 feet/ roll. That is plenty for 3 or 4 rolls for the tower and some for the cooling tubes with left overs.

The pump Brewhause sells is OK, it's not the most powerfull but it will get the job done. I have my cooler about 20" off the ground so the pump does'nt have to work so hard getting up the elevation. Decided to go with 2 pumps as it makes it easier to control the flow to both areas,But the Brewhause pump did the job just fine when I first started.

The input is at the top of the tower. Connect your hose from the water source to one side of the top tube then from the oppisite side of that tube connect another short tube and run it down to the next tube. Do the same thing until you get to the bottom tube and have one tube port left connect a hose to that for the water return. If you get the water control from Brewhause it will have a diagram in it, also the tower should come with directions. I think there is also a diagram somewhere on the BH site, but not sure.

Hey Talor, one more thing, be sure to use a chemical tolorant hose from the condenser to your collection point. The regular plastic hose will not hold up to high alcohol concentrations to well and may excreet some nasty polomers into your hooch. BTW the hoses are 1/2" thick wall diameter. The rest of your hoses for the water can be of regular plastic as your not drinking th water.

ok i was planning on ordering the hose pack that Brewhaus offers.....also inside the condenser is it like a curled up tube that the water runs threw that cools the vapor or what does the inside of the condenser look like?

The condenser is made of a straight 1/2' tube inside an outer cooling chamber, it works really well. There is no need for the inner tube to be coiled unless you run too hard/fast. That may happen in pot mode but not in reflux. Since you have an extension hose, chemical tolorant, going to your collection container the likelyhood of vapors escaping, even in pot mode, is pretty low. I have not had any problems and have'nt heard of from others either.
