"Hello all,
I,m a newb too and I have been studying for a couple af weeks now.
I havn't seen anywhere about cleaning/replacing the packing in the PSII HC.
Just wondering when/how to clean/change copper packing.
I havn't started yet, still in study mode waiting for equipment to arrive,
this is very interesting.
Thanks"

I pull mine out after each run and wash them off with hot tap water. I've run them through the dishwasher a couple of times in the past year or so.

"When mine were new I cut the copper into 10ft lengths and washed them out in the sink with hot water and vinegar. Took the oils and grim right off and looked very clean for their first use.

I went thru a few types and found that Stainless Steel with a course consistancy seems to hold up and work better that the other types. buy them a Family Dollar for about a dollar apiece. three fits real good in my copper column and they will last forever.
