Well I put the lemon juice in it to help convert the sugar. Did not realize the backset was so acidic. Writing that down in my memory banks..thanks. Pretty close on the amount I think. Maybe a little over but once the ferment got going it went nuts..so guess the yeastes is finding it a friendly place. I went through 4 generations of Sweet Feed washes. Seems like toward the end of the series the volume of keepers dropped quite a bit.

Well a person cant go wrong with Brandy. Winston Churchill considered it a form of medicine ranking even above big ceegars. Kindly keeps us posted on how it turns out.

Yeppers guess it depends on the philosophy of the operator. I did not notice them Hatfields running nothing twice..lol. Whew..thought I drank a lot of moonshine. Couldnt hold a candle to that bunch. Guessing they putting shine on the Coca Puffs in the AM..or so it seemed. That diluted cornmeal run is kicking my coola..lol.

I agree. Make it, drink it. everything else is secondary. I think that sometmres we get too envolved.

Boy some of the old heads would chew Johnsy out good for running off and leaving his still to chase purty girls. I got admonished severely for admitting I leave mine perking unattended occasionally. Those remote bbq temp gauges are a blessing for refluxing. Wouldnt work too good in the pot still mode I dont think. Anyway notice the shiner in the movie say his was a Drip Still..whatever that is. And he could pull off a gallon a day. Got a memory like a steel trap huh?
