After 4 mostly successfull runs with a PSII High Cap I've heard of adding salt or baking soda to combined stripping runs before a final run. I'd like to try this but would like more info such as how much of what to add when and what result to expect.

Thanks

Doug,I have used both, and I didnt think the salt helped much. You can use baking soda,It will clean up your spirit run.I use it when Im making neutral spirits.Use 2 heaping tbsps per gallon.Only use it on a stripped wash{never on a first run, because it will make ammoina}and dont use it on anything that you want flavor in.Heres a link that will have lots of info on this subject.http://homedistiller.org/

'dont use it on anything that you want flavor in'

Wineo,
what about neutral spirits that you want to infuse with a flavor after distilling?

Thats what i use it for.I like my neutral to be as clean as I can get it.Then I will flavor some of it with cranberry,or pom.at 80 proof. It goes down like koolaid.
