Cheap 1 gallon: 14 cups of water 3.5 cups sugar 1 tablespoon/sachet bakers yeast I think others will tell you to add some nutrients for the yeast. I'm just starting but that seems to a common ingredient in a sugar wash. This is the one that I've use. I add a little epson salts, 1/4 tsp, because I couldn't find DAP and 2-3 Tbls of lemon juice. You could reduce this down to a 1 gals mix by dividing everything by 6.5 or make the full 6.5 gals and just use 1 gal. This recipe is for a 6.5 gallon wash (25 Liters) & Will yield 10% ABV wash 2.5 Liters (2 quarts & 1.28 pints) of ethanol. Ingredients: 10 lbs Sugar (dissolved in hot water) 6 oz tomato paste (Yeast Nutrient) 1 Tbsp DAP (Optional but Recommended) 1/3 cup bakers yeast (2 2/3 ounces)

I definitely need some nutrients, the tomato paste is probably my best bet. Brewhaus sells a bottle of nutrients; anyone had luck with that? (Paste is cheaper and probably in my pantry though)
