If your extracting sugar in a boil is their a way to determine how mush sugar you got from the ingredients? (For example their is 1 kg of sugar in the mash.)

"Hi Julian, you can use a Specific Gravity Meter before you pitch your yeast to start fermenting and it will give you a potential alcohol by volume,ABV. At the end of your fermentation take another reading and with the two readings you will have the actual ABV. Hope this helps.
