Im trying to learn about making corn liquer like people did years ago. If anyone has any info or can tell me were I can look I would be most greatful. thanks

There is no better resource for info specific to corn whiskey production than MAKING PURE CORN WHISKEY by Ian Smiley. the book is available in hard copy or in a less expensive downloadable form.

Corn liquer

5 gallon fermenting pail
5lbs sugar
5lbs crack corn
5 gallons water
1 pkg. yeast

Ferment aprox. 7 days
Put a potato peel in, when it floats its ready
Dilute to 40% alcohol pre volume
Filter through activated charcoal
Enjoy!

Where dose one find cracked corn? Would I be correct looking in a feed store?
I got molases from a feed store, it was cheap but much different than what is in stores for people

Just to make a small point clear on this. Without yeast, your corn beer would never ferment. There is wild yeast in the air all around us, some good and some bad. This mixture would pick up wild yeast and ferment. The reason you pitch a packet of yeast is to make sure you don't get off flavors from a bad strain of wild yeast.
I just finished a corn/grain ,50% each, batch and did notice a difference in the aroma and taste over a sugar wash. Jury is still out if it is better or not. The yield was sure low.

I think you are right. While the mash is bubbleing vigorously, especially when stirred, it is not fermenting. Today I will give it some yeast.

It fermented very well and is extrememely sour, like I expected. Now for the next step.

As to the pure corn, no yeast or sugar batch. It made beer that was too sour to drink but it distilled nicely and tastes like regular shine. Yield was low as predicted. End of experiment, back to regular beer!

extremely sour is a sign that you were getting some vinegar. that's bad because acetobacter happily consume the sugar before the yeast can or the alcohol after the yeast is through. the longer it works the less alcohol you'll get.
