Thanks for the tip. I want to have an angle bracket attached to the wall so i can raise and lower the rig with a pulley, I had a cross bar welded into the bucket. I just got notice that it was shipped. I will look at the tripod as soon as i post this.

I did rick but i run a full 64 bitt machine and it doesnt get along well with many things--- I'll be dumping it and going back to a normal software soon

Unit is the cotton trick how you get the carbon all out of your product? Whenever i tried filtering through carbon i always ended up with black specks in my product, even if put it through coffee filters several times afterwards. I gave it up altogether as i never really noticed a taste difference in whisky. But i'd like to try some neutrals again soon and would like to give it another go.

I made this unit from PVC/ABS pipe/fittings I had laying around. The top funnel has a lid, a removable screen and holds a liter. At the bottom I used a ordinary garden spigot to throttle the output. It works super great, was inexpensive to build and can be collapsed for storage. I made this as a prototype thinking I could sell some but later decided not to due to the expense to ship. It would take a small and a medium flat rate USPS shipping boxes and between the shipping, materials and time, figure it not a feasible product to make a decent profit. It IS built according to the scientific dimensions as I researched it first. The pipe is 1.5" dia. X 60" long and like I said, works great. The most important thing I found was that the throttling feature is an absolute must have. It also holds two bags of charcoal as shown, 1 bag of each size mixed together fills it up perfectly. I, of course, would rather have something made from ss, but hey, a guy's gotta' use what he has on hand when money is tight. All in all, I'm happy with the results. I've used it 5 times without any problems. I'd be happy to supply a parts list if anyone wants it although I figure that the maj[ATTACH=CONFIG]645[/ATTACH]ority of people here could easily figure it out.
