Saw in a TTB faq that they can require sellers of distilling equipment to disclose who the purchasers are. I bought a still from Brewhaus and now have some concern about this. Hey Brewhaus! any chance you could destroy those records!?!?!

Thats why we make our own stills.But then again they could join a fourm like this one and get the information that they want.never give out personal information they will know who you are,they will know where you live,they will know what you are doing. If you are doing somthing eligle and dont want any one to find out about it then dont tell any one that you are doing it.

Basically, any company selling any type of distillation apparatus must maintain this list in case it is ever requested. This goes for water distillers, as well. We have a lot of customers who are using the units for essential oil extraction, so to pick through the list would be a rather large undertaking. Besides, I am sure that you would not do anything that

What if you sell just the column. Could you send out a boiler later separately so it is not technically a still that you sold?

Yes. A column is not a still, and neither is a boiler.

I agree with Dr.B, I am just wanting good clear clean water to quinch a thirst. I am one that is in the process of building my own column and boiler. What an undertaking.
