"Had a couple big jugs of Aunt Jemima syrup. Dumped it into a corn mash, fermented it out and ran it. Aired it out, no sir, didn't like it. Let it sit a couple of months, no sir, didn't like it. Aged some on oak, no sir, didn't like it. It did not taste like syrup, it tasted like nasty. Won't be makin' anymore. "

well if you did'nt dump it out yet, just pour it back in your cooker and rerun it.....make a neutral if you can and it may be drinkable. Just something to think about.

Did that two weekends ago, had about 4 gallons of Science projects like that, and higher end tails get rerun.

Actually it was the Log Cabin brand I used.... but syrup in Hooch no matter what brand is still a sticky situation.....(sometimes I only amuse my self)

Yea, I did rerun it. It's a sin to pour out alcohol. No matter how bad the hooch, it's always recyclable.

No sir, it wasn't. But don't bust my balloon, I like to think I was born out of time. One thing can be said about the Great Depression, it produced some of the finest people ever to walk the Earth. and some of the worst scoundrels too I'm afraid. But that's life, you can't have whiskey with water.
