placed order last night for a psll high cap with 15 gal pot!!!!!.not really sure what im. doing but with the help you good folks.maybe i can cut learning curve a little bit.so ill probably be on here quite a bit worrying you locals with questions.cant wait it should arrive by this weekend!!

why don't you just do a sugar wash for the first one to see how things go

bigwheel where would i find bayous recipie?????????????.im totally new to this hobby and to fourm.to date 0runs made but equip. has been ordered

"here's the recipe for 50gal wash just cut it down to how much you want
50 Gallon Sugar Wash
50 gallon wash (189 Liters)
13% ABV. Should yield 25.1 Liters (6.6 Gallons) of 93% Pure Ethanol.

Ingredients:
92 lbs Sugar (dissolved in hot water)
3 lbs tomato paste ( 8 - 6oz Cans)(Yeast Nutrient)
4 oz DAP (Optional but Recommended)
1 lb bakers yeast

Instructions:
(1)Dissolve 3 lbs of tomato paste in 2 gallons of hot water.

(2)Dissolve 92 pounds of sugar in 20 gallons of hot water stirring until all of the sugar is dissolved and not gritty.

(3)Pour the dissolved sugar into the fermenter with the tomato paste.

(4)Top off the fermenter to 50 gallons with cold water and stir well.

(5)Once the wash has cooled to 80 degrees Fahrenheit or less add 1 lb of bakers yeast and stir well.

(6)Place lid on fermenter add airlock and allow to ferment until com"

Birwatchers Recipe
recipe for a 10 gallon wash. Ingredients as follows:

1.5 cups tomato paste
Juice 1.5 lemons
Approx. 20 lbs sugar
4 ounces fresh regular bakers yeast"

That one's a winner. I've used it a lot and it always works great. You can add a little epsom salt to that to get some Mg in there for the yeast.
