Hey Corn..Kroger and Wally World have a yellow version which I really like..I dont use the the white stuff since it kilt my Grandma. Pioneer Brand whole grain..still has the germs. I keep wanting to say non-degerminated for some reason but that dont sound right. Less than 3 bucks for a five pound bag. Seems to give shine a nice flavor. It has more vitamins and minerals than it needs so save your money on nutes and other exotic additives. Been doing half a bag on 5-6 gallon washes and a full five pounds in a 11-12 gallon batch. Sure you could use less but it reaches a point of not giving a good ferment if a person gets too stingy with it. Not sure where the least amount will still work. I buy a bag when its time to buy sugar. It all comes out right. Prob be hard to run a corn grinder for that kinda small change.

try your local bodega. They will usually grind it for you coarse or fine for around 80 cents a pound
