I agree that this thread has searved a purpose and Heeler has a good point; but Scotty has a good point too. I guess MADDOGS response is the key.
I believe maddog was right in starting the theread, all participants were right in commenting but Heeler is right and so is Scotty
right???
SORRY, I COULDNT RESIST, I GOT THE IDEA FROM A SCENE AT THE BEGINNING OF fiddler on the roof :)

I agree that this thread has served its purpose. But I also think that it will continue to do so. It captures what a good cross-section of our forum members consider appropriate (or inappropriate) behavior ... and perhaps a warning to those who might be inclined to follow in a certain person's footsteps?
Maybe prevent further posts with Maddawgs blessing? But I think we should think about it a bit more before deleting it altogether.

Hi All,
I'm just a happy traveller, an apreciative learner, and member on your great forum. My intention when posting was realy just as an (sad) update. But the thread I thought became interesting. So I'll let those who run the forum and members with more experience (you have earned the right) decide what to do with the thread. I'll hold no ill will if your decision is to remove it.

Ill vote to leave it after reading John and maddawga comments. Rick has the final word as i see it. I found Him to use good judgement troughout this whole BW fiasco.

It's good to see it getting back to normal and seenig new members.
BTW anyone heard from one of the old timers from way back called Mtnwalker and know if he's still around?

Maddawgs You can't really be sure they aren't members. It was only a couple days ago i finally checked the "remember me" box. Before that i would be automatically logged out of the site within minutes of logging in and show up as a "non-member". Just saying.

TS I did a search and found a Mtnwalker2 but it seems(don't necessarily trust the search) that he hasn't posted in a couple years.

It is probably just best to close the thread from future posting. This way people can see a discussion on the issue if they are interested (or ever think of getting out of line themselves), but it will not accept further comments. The issue is behind us, it appears that everyone is happier, and more people are back to contributing, so it has been a positive for all members. :)
