Hi Guys (n-Gals) I go by Squerly and I live in North Carolina. New to brewing but catching on quickly enough. Hello All!

"Squerly, I'd say that's some damned fine engineering! Listen, if you saw my fly fishing gear, you would definitely laugh. My rod was an end of season clearance model from K-mart, I got my line out of one of those big bins that are full of stuff nobody wants to buy and my reel is an old early 70s spool from my uncle's garage sale. I have an dusty old vest, a chain stringer attached to a piece of clothes line I tie around my waist, and my net is an oxidized piece of aluminum with a broken plastic handle. And ... I still use my old pair of patched-up rubber hip waders. A few years back I was on this nice free-stone stream with this other fellow who showed up in his mercedes sports sedan. Custom bamboo rod, top-shelf reel, hand-made wicker creel, neoprene up to his chest and those $400 wading boots. Hell his rod/reel was probably worth more than my car!  He quit with an empty creel -- I took two rainbows and almost brought a decent brown to my net -- I believe he quit that day out of embarrassment. Anyway, you get the picture -- it's what you're able to produce that matters -- not what the trappings look like. --JB"

All the fittings (although the picture doesn't allow you to see them) are quick fit snap-on connectors so hooking up the water intake and exit lines is plug-n-play. When finished, the whole unit dissasembles and stores away in just a couple of minutes. The cooker isn't large enough to produce any more than a quart at a time so I am looking for a larger cooker. It's a work in progress...

I turned mine into an essential oil extracter when I up graded. Now I'm in the process of turning it into an inline thumper still for makeing rum and whisky/scotch.
Is your condenser a straight line through the PVC pipe?"

Is your condenser a straight line through the PVC pipe? Yes it is. And you're right, the entire thing will become a thumper connected to a larger kettle. Funny how this stuff works out isn't it... :)"
