do i have to boil the cornmeal or just put it in with sugar and the rest and let it start?

I don't know rather it matters to much or not.. I know when I do CM washes I do boil mine or atleast get it close to a boil and cook it for a bit just to try to dissolve what I can of it. I do it but dunno if it is needed.

Hi Basket Maker, you want to at least pasturize your wash which means bring it up to 180 degrees. It also helps to dissolve the sugar completely.
