Sugar wash still cloudy, run anyway?

I made a sugar wash 5 days ago using 48hr turbo yeast. It fermented like crazy for 2 days, then steady for about 2 more. It seems still now, no airlock action, but when I checked it, it was still very cloudy. Should I filter or strain it and run it? Is it ok to run it cloudy?

I actually allow mine to stay in the fermentor for about 2 weeks before racking into my kettle.... It settles naturally that way. I have some sparkaloid from the owner of this forum but I haven't used it yet. It's supposed to floc everything down to the bottom to make the process faster but speed isn't my thing.

Would it hurt anything to run it now? This will be my first run, starting two more sugar washes this week, I'll let those settle for awhile. I want to run about 3 runs in reflux mode to get to know the still. Then I'm going to switch to pot mode and start making stuff with flavor.

Never seemed to make a difference for me using turbos. Put it somewhere cold over night then siphon off everything but the cloudy crap at the bottom and run it.

Think I'll try that. I know when I brew beer and wine you want the yeast out so they don't lyse and explode when dead and cause your beer or wine to taste like bread. But don't see how that will matter on a reflux.

Distilleries don't do a second fermentation stage at all. 3-5 days and into the still. It seems to be a highly debateable topic here IMO because a lot of guys on this board make beer and wine and simply apply the same methods. When i've tried waiting and clearing with sparkaloid and even a wine filter machine it made no difference in my end product so i gave it up.

I've run cloudy stuff and still comes out real good. Don't see why you can't providing your SG is good. Don't wantta get that close to a good batch and leave any on the table.
