Welcome Capecodder. This is a great site for fun and education. I'm about twenty miles north of the Bourne bridge myself. In the Brockton area. How far down the Cape are you?

Im pretty far out on the cape, One of the most easterly points... I two was once from that area. Just bought my keg from a guy up that way. Now my Friend bulit what they call a parrot... I will have to build one hopefully it will stay together im not very good at doing this stuff... Nice to talk to you Hokey, Maybe perchance if you ever get this far east we may meet.and thanks for the welcome.
The first thing im going to attempt to make is a Rum that i had in Puerto Rico when visiting there.. It is called Pitorro and it was coconut in flavor if anyone has any suggestions would love to hear...

Hey, what's up Brother. I was wondering if or when you were going to start asking questions from people who really know what they are talking about. I know you have been reading but if you still have questions you will get a quick response here. I'm sure that keg will work great. What style tower did you get? There is a great recipe thread down the bottom of the main page. Hope to see you and wifey soon.
Merry Christmas

My wife and family are from Brockton. There's a pizza place, I forget the name, we used to always have to go when we were there. It was Greek I think. Great pizza's and sub's. Something like Kristo's. Everyone's moved South but there are fond memories there."

HI cczero. You are probably talking about Christo's restaurant. I actually used to work there. It is still there. Good pizza and great Greek salads. Best pizza in Brockton and the area is still Cape Cod Cafe. Greek family owned.

Hello again Capecodder. The keg you have is called a 1/4 bbl Slim Keg. Same height as a half barrel but slimmer. Not as slim as a sixth barrel though. Holds 7.75 gals. How does it look? Any pics?
