"just made my first purchase from brewhaus and im very happy with their selection and pricing of products. the issue i have is with their cost of shipping. i originally only had a hydrometer and alcoholmeter in my shopping cart and shipping was $9 for usps priority mail. then added about 15 lbs of grains and shipping jumped up to over $30. priority mail is a flat rate up to 70 lbs. needless to say i cancelled my order i can see making a couple dollars on shipping but they're s hipping prices are way too much"

We do not make money on shipping. The hydrometer and alcoholmeter (if that is all that was in the cart) should ship as 1lb, so roughly $5.50 by Priority Mail (a complete test pack would be 2lbs, so shipping could be upwards of $9, depending on where we are shipping to). 15lbs of grain will not fit into a flat rate box, so that is not an option. But it should not run $30 if you are in the continental US.

I just read the shipping terms on the brewhaus website. It says if you have a problem to contact the vendor-- You will not embarras rick by this thread- Most us of us have dealt with him and found him to be extremely fair. All you are doing is showing me that you are attempting to manipulate us and rick.
We are not effected. Do not try to use this website for your own personal gain. Our moderators are not patient with this sort of thing. :) :) :)

I always just wait until I get enough stuff together that I need to justify shipping. It's called PLANNING! If you order at least $75-100 worth of stuff at one time then the shipping doesn't bother you as much. Plus I'm lucky enough that if I wanted to I could drive down and pick up heavy stuff if I wanted to.

I want to chime in too...I ordered on 12/12/12 (oh how bout that???) 2 lbs of nutrients (the one lb jugs) and my total $ was $25.60 and the shipping was $11.39. I think if we spend more than 5$ the shipping should be free. Also I dont want to pay taxes anymore either. Oh well lifes tough.

pttth - I want Rick to drive to my house and personally deliver the product, no matter how small the shipment. If it was a fab job then he could have a flatbed & the welder could work while he was going down the road.
