yea thats the water control valve on a PSII HC. On the diagram it says that the fitting on the T without the hose connected is where the cooling water hooks to, so instead of the water entering the column first it enters here first?

I have my water control hooked up so when the valve is open the water goes to the column and condenser when closed all the water runs to the condenser

HI wvrunner,
If you take a picture that shows the other connections (including the one currently shown) we may be able to answer your question. Right now all we can see is the connection from the bottom of the liebig to the vavle and then off to somewhere not on the picture. If we can see more than we may be able to help you out.

Correct it makes the image larger but it does not show us where the other connections are.
