Rick,

I purchased an O-Ring for my Pro series extractor to attach it to a keg. I tested the connection this weekend with some water, I did not have steam escaping but did notice a small traces of liquid escaping around the O-ring. I though that maybe I did not get the O-Ring in the to seat properly, but once I disassembled the unit it seemed that I did get a good seal. I inspected the top of the keg looking for burrs, etc.. and found nothing that would look like it would cause such. Do I need to us some type of lubricant along with the O-Ring for a proper seal?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Brian, I have the same system and ran a batch of grappa this weekend and I did not have any leaks. You have to be sure to get the O-ring into the seat on the stainless steel coupler, if not seated properly it will leak. You also have to tighten the tri-clamp tight to assure no leaks. By the way the grappa is ablsolutly fabulous. Happy Brewing!
