"So here goes a new challenge. Years ago I started to make wine at home. Mostly from juice kits, but I have progressed to making from fresher fruits (apple and such). I have always wanted to learn this new hobby and just purchased a new complete kit. I won't see it until early March (my kettle has me on delivery delay). So, in the meantime, where should I start reading?

Hello blaztaz and welcome. If you have made wine and fruit wine you have half the battle won already. If you have a question and can't find the answer on one of the threads ask away. You will get a prompt answer.A book called "The Complete Distiller" is a great read. Have fun and be safe.

Thanks for all the replies! I got sick and have been laid up in bed for the last week, so sorry I went MIA. The good news is that it has given me a chance to read the .pdf that Captinjack sent! There is a lot of information there and I had to re-read a lot of it a couple times to grasp it. I like that it isn't just a step-by-step guide and gives you how this information was contrived! Awesome!
I am curious though. I have seen several people talk about starting by distilling water and then moving up to more challenging projects. I have also read that brewhaus sends a pretty good set of instructions to get you started. What are the recommended steps to take as a beginner. (I know I said it didn't give the step-by-step in the .pdf, but I am kind of looking for that now)
