Rank: Guest Groups: Guests Joined: 2/10/2002(UTC) Posts: 5,254		got 4 lt in 2 glass bottles,1x 2lt screw cap and 1 5lt bottle from brew shop with funny top, would it be better to find a cork for aging??? and what is the best proof for aging??? i started with 45%,90 proof, aging on oak chips for 10 days..

Rank: Guest Groups: Guests Joined: 2/10/2002(UTC) Posts: 5,254		I do not think that it matters if you dilute before aging or leave the spirit un-diluted. I dilute mine before aging and they turn out great and very smooooooooooooth, of course I always carbon filter.
