Hi Heeler,
Well I used a sanding process. I used wet/dry sand paper, I started with 150 grit on the rough spots and then sanded every thing with 220,400, 800 and then triple ott steel wool then I used some mothers metal/wheel polish. I had every thing already, left over from a bike I painted for a friend. I did all the sanding before I soldered it together then after words all it needed was a going over with the steel wool on the hot spots and than polish. Glad you like the look makes the extra effort worth it.
