"Hey All, I am wanting to test this recipe. These are the same amounts I use with my Corn Meal recipe. Any thoughts? Thanks!!!

Here are my ingredients.
(1) 1 Gal glass jug
(1) 1/4 oz pack of Fleishmann's Highly Active Yeast
3/4 Gal = 96oz of distilled water
24oz of Sugar
12oz of Quaker Instant Oatmeal"

Well, I just mixed a batch so I guess I will let you all know in about a week or so.

Hey pal, with such a little starting wash amount, dont expect to get more than a cup of useable hooch, if its that much. Remember, no matter what size wash you have there is still all the stuff you have to throw away -foreshots-heads and some tails. All of that stuff comes from the collected volume. Not trying to rain on your party but just something to ponder.

Yeah, I realize it's not much but that's OK, all of this is a Science Experiment till I get it figured out, then lookout.

You bet the science of all this is fun indeed.....that recipe will work and with the right volume its prolly gonna be good.

Well All, I distilled the oatmeal recipe last night. I can tell you it had a great taste. I can see a larger batch in my future. I just mixed a batch of equal parts of cornmeal, oatmeal, and soft wheat bran. We will see.
