This is the Brewhaus Essential Extractor still. The removable reflux column has this wire mesh welded on it. Is this mesh supposed to go at the bottom right above the kettle? Or does it go in the middle where I have it now?
Also how tightly should my copper mesh be packed? Thank you."

Hi beer-baron,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your new still, I'm still waiting on mine but yes you do have the column upside down, the screen is to keep any thing from sliding out. You want to roll the copper mesh only tight enough so it doesn't move in the column but loose enough so the vapor can pass through. Hope this helps and any other questions just ask and someone will give you good answers...
