do you have to remove your copper packing after each use and clean... or can you leave it in the column for a few uses and then remove and clean ???

I left it wet for a few weeks and reused it. It won't affect the product, but when I took it out it really smelled and it was tarnished. I would take the time and let it sit in baking soda and vinegar. If your next run is with a week, then don't worry about it.
