Hey guys, just got the lid and column for my new still together, I would post a pic, but I haven't figgered that out yet, and I'm not on my computer. My better half probably wouldn't like it if I had pics like that on her 'pooter. I will post later tonight or in the morning. 1/2" column
20", 30 degree angle downturn to a 32inch pipe to the worm also 1/2 inch. Wanted to go with a 1.5 or 2 inch column, but was cost prohibitive for this build. Next time! We'll see how this 3 gallon cooker works first.

Looks purty Big! Can't wait to test it. I'll have some mash ready next week I hope and see how it goes once I figger out how to seal the lid to the 3 gallon pot. Gonna check the local farm supply for gasket material on Monday.

Can you tell us if it's a pot still or a reflux still?

"Cut out a cardboard ring and wrap it with yellow teflon tape used for gas lines. Got the idea off the Home Distiller's site. Works pretty good.
Have fun"

Thanks Bushy, I hadn't thought of that. I've made a few gaskets out of cardboard for engines and such, it didn't even dawn on me it would work for this.

Hey I'm new to this site but I made a 3 gallon pot still my self and used a thin coat of fish tank sealant around the inside of the lid and works great

Thanks Joe, I have been using a "rope" of flour paste and it works great. Trial and error. LOL!
