Just got me a 15.5 keg to serve as a boiler on a new reflux setup. I pulled the ball valve and tube, looking in with a flashlight shows some yucky insides. Has anyone a good way to clean this baby out? I should tell you that I have no plans to remove the current connection and will be using the Tri-clamp solution on this unit. That means that I need some way to clean it without being able to use any contact with brush etc. So is there a good safe chemical solution for this that anyone knows of?

I just noticed something else on this keg that maybe someone knows the answer to. That is I planned on using the tri-clamp solution but the keg does not say "Sanke or Sankey ,that I hear is just .... I don"t really know , I think it just a spelling thing,. But this keg has "Spartanburg" on it which from a google search come up as a corny keg. So will it work with the tri-clamp?

I am not sure you have a corny. I think as corny kegs being 5 gallons and look like the pepsi syrup kegs. I have the sanke keg and the tri-clamp and I love this system. I have had many people look at my system and I am currently getting ready to make about 3-4 more systems. The spelling depends on who is spelling the word.
