"I got an unexpected email from BH that my order is shipped out today with a delivery ETA on Tues. 4/16/13  I called them to make sure it wasn't a mistake as my kettle had a ETA of 4/30/13 to BH. They said they had a couple left over from the 3/8/13 shipment, (they said they usually get a couple of damaged ones and this time they didn't so I was next on the list) so I get my order almost a whole month early... Way to come through Brewhaus!!!! Captinjack"

I placed my order on 2/4/13, I ordered the PSII HC with the 15g kettle. I had two- 2" short weld tri-clamp ferrules welded into my kettle,one for a heat element and the second for a drain or another heat element if I ever need it.

Nice Capt! I think you had a bit more experience than I did when I received mine. I have spent that last couple weeks just learning. I think I have it down to 'time to make a wash and play'. Congrats, let us know the first thing you make in it. (Other than water or vinegar and water)

Geesh, I will never again order something with this much lag time. I'm way too impatient. post up some good pics, maybe that'll alieve some of my jitters! :-)

Captinjack Hi Cap, Hey today is the day. Be sure to do your leak test/water run, a cleaning run, an a sacrificial alcohol run (use old and or cheap box wine). They will give you a good idea of how your rig will run for you. Racked the wash and still waiting for it to clear. Got everything ready so as soon as it is done I'm ready to go. Maddawgs

There ain' no "done" date... It's done when the fella calls and says, "Come on over and give 'er a play and lets see ha' she sounds..." (Honestly, I wasn't sure if he meant his wife or the mandolin!) Edit: I am really starting ta think it's a rite of passage to wait for something that allows a new craft.. Part of the Angels share, I guess.... |

Oh, man I know. Shoulda put more smileys in that post. ;-) I like your analogy though as I build custom guitars, basses, and hand wind pickups as a side business. :-)

Now I know what Brown can do for me, everything was in good shape and packaged very well. I'll post some pics in the purchasing a distiller section... Mad Hunter why don't you post up some pic's of some of your custom guitars and basses, that would be cool to check out...
