Hey all, not sure if this is u-d right place?. This is my plated column still, 3'x4' with single bubble cap. Will post more pics later. Ive ran it once and got around 90% with lots of flavor coming through.

Did you build the bubbler? Would you still use copper scrub pads with it ?

Hi grunt, yes I built it. They don't really need scrubbers, I guess it would clean the distillate up a bit more. The common thing on plates columns now days is a lava rock packed section, it's had great results. im yet to try it, will be soon though when i finish the extra 2 modules so irs a 5 plater. are you thinking of building one?.

I am in the process of building my first still. Can you share the demensions and material you used on your plate and any sources? I know a good idea when I steal it.

117mm plates with 1.5 inch riser 30mm high. 2 inch single bubble cap 35mm high with 1mm slots about every 3mm. 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch reducer for downcomer at 25mm.

got some better pictures of the bubble cap? I am having trouble visualizing it and I cant find any diagrams on the internet.
