while collecting distillate you put an alcohol meter in it to monitor the alcohol content as it comes off the still

Maddawgs MD I dont have TV in my home-- Not any religious reason-- I just wont spend the $$$ for nothing. HOWEVER i regret never having seen that moonshine show. There was sooo much commentary on brewhaus about it. It must be fun to watch."

"I didn't get my PSIIHC becaue of that show - I got mine over a year before the show even aired. I got mine because of where the country is going. I also wanted to be able to distill just about any thing, should the need arise.
About that stupid show ... Yes, I watch it, I even DVR (record) it - it was entertaining, but at the same time, stupid.
There was/IS soooo much mis-information on that show, like a mash will ferment at fiftysomething degrees(out ion the woods, a 200 gal mash tun, no insulation, yea, right...) , etc.. Just that dumbass tickle putting shine in a camper water tank and driving all over to deliver.. and they made it seem like any dumbass with a fire and a can can make good spirit. How about the two rocket scientists that make the double pressure cooker still that they spent two years building and the ball valve seal blew the first time they got it to pressure...Running the damn thing down the road with a tarp draped over it and not tied down and of course, it blows off...
this ain no joke boys and girls, at the least you'll waste money and time. At the worst, you can poision yourself, or blow off a section of yer house, apt, garage or barn. I've spent a year studying, and I'm still dumb on some stuff, and I am a archtitect IRL for pete's sake." |

Hey don't feel bad i ordered mine on the 22 of February and still nothing but he did tell me that he was waiting on the kettle parts to come beginning of this week and that it would ber ready to ship within two or three days... Still debating if i should have the tri clamp put in the top....
