"As I understand it. wine is grape juice plus alcohol. If you mix grape juice and neutral spirits, will you get something close to wine? I know the juice will be a lot sweeter than wine but I recently bought some scupperdine wine that was so freaking sweet I could hardly drink it so I can't omagine grape juice / spirits combo to be any worst.

Reason for asking is I have a gallon of neutral spirits that I'm trying to put to good use. I have other ideas besides the grape juice but I'm curious if anyone has ever done it and if so, were the results drinkable?

Thanks"

the sweetness comes from sugar being added after the grape juice is fermented. Usually properly fermented wine is not sweet at all. I add a small amount of sugar to suit my taste. If you want to experiment possibly taste the grape juice and add water to it until you like the taste. Then add some alcohol-- I THEEENK :)

Fritz,

You might want to consider making some lemoncello. Just search for "lemoncello" on youtube ... there are plenty of videos.

Hmmmm, wonder how that would work with Country Time Lemonade? Might have to give it a try.

It'll probably taste exactly like Country Time Lemonade with neutral. Sounds like you found the right mix. :)"
