I want to do a stripping run with my column and then run it all a second time; a double run. What I need to know is should I add back anything to the stripped the second time.

Depends what your stripping?. If its rum or another flavored wash, some people use raw wash and add it to the low wines for extra flavor. If its a plain sugar wash then just water it down to 30-40%.

"Cleveland,

The purpose of a stripping run is to reduce volume -- nothing more. When you strip you can decide how far down you want to take it, and as googe suggests, this will depend on what you're trying to accomplish. If your goal is to simply combine the low wines from several stripping runs, then there's usually no need to use the column when you strip -- just run it through the pot still as fast as you can.

After you collect enough low wine you can do whatever type of spirit run you prefer ... and add whatever suits your tastes.
