it came out nice but what would you call it wiskey or ?

Hi kane,
How did you run it? At 85% I'm assuming it was a reflux run and if so it is probably just a nuetral or similar to a vodka.

low and slow is all i did space out my packing and modified all the lengths
i think your right it has a hint of that dry vodka taste but it also is a touch sweet

i just watched a video and it said
if you use wine its brandy
if you use grain its whiskey
if you use sugar its rum
where does the vodka come in at ? potatoes ?

the russians usually make their vodka from wheat or rye. The Polish started with potatoes as it was the cheapest they had to distill.Luksusowa is a really great vodka made from potatoes. If making it yourself from potatoes it produces a great deal of heads, but make good cuts and you will have a great tasting vodka

black beards rum, regular corn whiskey and stonewalls southern whiskey this was my first test run with the wine and some old apple pie mix
