Greetings from Virginia. I've been a customer of Ricks for quite some time now. With a couple of bad experiences at 2 other distilling forums whom I will not name, I was reluctant to sign on here. I'm a legal distiller on the federal level. Here is my retracted permit: Unfortunately I still have to obtain a state license from the VABC which aint cheap at all. I'm looking at $530 bucks for the first year and $450 bucks for each year afterwards. Here's my 15 gallon baby: I got the kettle and a few other things from here. I'll be getting my next distilling tower from here as well. I also downloaded the legalization proposal. Hopefully I can submit it to my congressman along with a few ideas that would really make the law makers accept and legalize home distilling.

Greetings - I used to be a Virginian before I was made into a honorary Texan ;D I expect my AFP small any day, it's right at the 6 week mark, but with the sequester, it could be late.. Got a 15gal PSII as well. love that device. Stable, predictable, and was a joy to learn... I too will be getting another one once I'm more established. |

That's awesome. I hope I can learn a few things from here. Having that AFP is awesome. It will keep the feds off your back and allow you to distill openly.
